Bowling Bowling Bowling Parking Parking is the first live album by Green Day. It is also known as Explosion Live 2! (JP) in Japan.
Background[]
Bowling Bowling Bowling Parking Parking was recorded during the Insomniac Tour, with the exception of track 4 which was recorded during the Dookie World Tour. Track 4 was recorded on March 11, 1994 at Jannus Landing in St. Petersburg, Florida, U.S. (previous recordings from this concert were released on Live Tracks), tracks 5-6, 8 were recorded on January 27, 1996 at Harumi Arena in Tokyo, Japan, and tracks 1-3, 7 were recorded on March 26, 1996 at Sporthall in Prague, Czech Republic.
Release[]
Bowling Bowling Bowling Parking Parking was released through Reprise Records on CD in Japan on July 25, 1996.[1] It was released in Europe, Australia, Brazil, Thailand, Taiwan, Indonesia, and Malaysia the following month on August 8, 1996. A cassette version was also released on the same day in South Korea, Chile, Thailand, Indonesia, and Malaysia. It has not seen a release of any kind in the United States.
It was re-released in a box set with Foot in Mouth on March 25, 1999 under the name, Explosion Live! Value Pack.[2]
Tracks 2, 3 were re-released on the "Brain Stew/Jaded" vinyl single on September 15, 2009. Track 1-3, 7 were re-released on the Live in Prague EP bundled with the 25th anniversay edition of Insomniac on March 19, 2021.
