During the production of ¡Uno! ¡Dos! ¡Tré!, Dos was approached with a more garage rock approach than the other two albums. The song [[Fuck Time|"Fuck Time"]] was a song originally on Green Day's side project, [[Foxboro Hot Tubs]] before having a placement on the album. Dos also includes Green Day's only feature on the entire trilogy, [[Lady Cobra (song)|"Lady Cobra"]] who is subject to a song of the same name, and co-wrote the following song [[Nightlife]]. The album cover is a black and white cutout of [[Mike Dirnt]], with pink X's on a orange background, which has "Green Day" in teal and the album title in white. The back cover depicts Lady Cobra with pink X's on the same orange background with the track list split into two sections: "Side Tres" for the first 7 tracks and "Side Cuatro" for the other 6.

The record would go on to only sell 69,000 copies in its first week in the U.S, becoming the first record to not break 100,000 sales in its first week being signed to Reprise Records. It also became the second record in a row by the band to not be certified by the RIAA, a trend which would unfortunately continue from here on out. From critics, the album would receive generally favorable reviews but also received heavy criticism, mainly towards its poor writing and sound production. Coming down to the track list, Nightlife is the most criticized song on the album from both critics and fans alike.

¡Dos! is Green Day's tenth studio album and the second of three albums in a special trilogy called ¡Uno! ¡Dos! ¡Tré!

¡Dos! was released on November 9 in Australia, November 12 in the United Kingdom, and November 13, 2012 in the United States by Reprise Records. Unlike ¡Uno!, which had tracks recorded as early as 2010, it was recorded from February to June 2012 at Jingletown Studios in Oakland, California.

During the production of ¡Uno! ¡Dos! ¡Tré!, Dos was approached with a more garage rock approach than the other two albums. The song "Fuck Time" was a song originally on Green Day's side project, Foxboro Hot Tubs before having a placement on the album. Dos also includes Green Day's only feature on the entire trilogy, "Lady Cobra" who is subject to a song of the same name, and co-wrote the following song Nightlife. The album cover is a black and white cutout of Mike Dirnt, with pink X's on a orange background, which has "Green Day" in teal and the album title in white. The back cover depicts Lady Cobra with pink X's on the same orange background with the track list split into two sections: "Side Tres" for the first 7 tracks and "Side Cuatro" for the other 6.

Reception

The record would go on to only sell 69,000 copies in its first week in the U.S, becoming the first record to not break 100,000 sales in its first week being signed to Reprise Records. It also became the second record in a row by the band to not be certified by the RIAA, a trend which would unfortunately continue from here on out. From critics, the album would receive generally favorable reviews but also received heavy criticism, mainly towards its poor writing and sound production. Coming down to the track list, Nightlife is the most criticized song on the album from both critics and fans alike.

Stray Heart is the only single of any kind to be released from ¡Dos!, released on October 15, 2012. A music video would be released on the official Green Day YouTube channel on November 7, 2012. Following the song's meaning, the video features a man chasing after his personified heart after his girlfriend notices him cheating, in an attempt to show that he still loves her.
